Stage 1 and Stage 2 candidates have been emailed to confirm their priority allocation. Any candidate who believes they should be in Stage 1 and/or Stage 2 and who has not received a confirmation email should contact the ADC team at [email protected].

As soon as each application stage opens, nominated candidates will receive an automated email to advise that applications can be submitted via ADC Connect.

Waitlist (2023 Period 3 General Dentistry Practical Examination)

Should candidates withdraw from the practical examination after the application period closes, seats may become available for other candidates. A waitlist will be set up and candidates will be able to join it at any time during the application and examination period.

It is important to note that the positions will usually become available at short notice. Candidates on the waitlist will not be under any obligation to accept the offer of a seat if contacted.

Candidates should consider whether they have the sufficient time to prepare and present for the examination on the available dates before accepting the offer. If they choose to proceed, candidates understand and agree that no special consideration can be given if they choose to sit at short notice.

The criteria to join the waitlist are listed below. If a candidate does not meet the specified criteria to be offered a place, the ADC will select the next candidate on the waitlist according to their position.

Waitlist criteria:

  • Candidate must have a valid initial and written examination.
  • Candidate is not holding a current practical examination booking or have practical examination result pending.
  • Candidate does not have a practical examination review/appeal pending.
  • Candidate must be vaccinated against COVID-19 (minimum two doses).
  • Candidate agrees to accept the position within the timeframe of which the exam will be held.

Priority will be given to candidate who have not sat a practical examination within the previous examination period.

To be added to the waitlist, candidates should complete this form. The waitlist form will only be active after 10 May 2023.
