Secretariat - The Australian Dental Council


The ADC secretariat is responsible for coordinating the review of programs for accreditation. The Secretariat provides advice to education providers on the Standards and the accreditation process.

A member of the ADC secretariat is included in each Accreditation Team. Their role on the team is to provide advice to the team on the application and interpretation of the Standards and ensure they are consistently applied across programs. They are the contact point between the Accreditation Team and the education provider.

They work closely with the Accreditation Team to create the post site visit report. This includes ensuring the report addresses the Standards and is within the scope of ADC’s accreditation function.

The secretariat also assists the Accreditation Committee in its work, including the consideration of Accreditation Team reports and in monitoring accredited programs to ensure they continue to meet the Standards.
