DBA launches Dental Practitioner Support

Last week the Dental Board of Australia (DBA) launched Dental Practitioner Support, a national health and wellbeing support service for dental practitioners.

Free, confidential and available 24/7, the service is available to all dental practitioners as well as Australian Dental Council (ADC) candidates, dental students, educators, employers and concerned family members.

Those contacting Dental Practitioner Support have access to an experienced team who can provide confidential advice and referral on a range of issues, including mental and physical health as well as general wellbeing. Anyone using the service has the option to remain anonymous, should they wish to do so.

An initiative of the DBA, Dental Practitioner Support is independently run by Turning Point, a leading addiction treatment, research and education organisation.

This service sits independently of the ADC’s dental practitioner assessment process. Candidates wishing to discuss the assessment process itself are encouraged to contact the ADC directly via our contact us page.
