Narelle Mills elected Chair of the Health Professions Accreditation Collaborative Forum

The Australian Dental Council (ADC) Chief Executive Officer, Narelle Mills has been elected Chair of the Health Professions Accreditation Collaborative Forum (HPAC Forum) for a two-year term commencing 1 July 2021.

The HPAC Forum is a coalition of the 15 accreditation authorities providing accreditation functions under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme under the National Law. Their vision is to better health outcomes through high quality accreditation and assessment services for all registered health professions within Australia.

The HPAC Forum works collaboratively to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of accreditation and assessment functions of the regulated health professions for the benefit of the Australian community.

“Accreditation is important to the Australian health sector. Best practice accreditation ensures health practitioners are entering their respective health professions with the knowledge and skills needed to practise safely.

"I am looking forward to leading the Forum over the next two years, to progress work that will enable to Forum to continue to use its expertise to influence the development of accreditation under the National Law,” Narelle said.
