UAE written examination venue closures – March 2020 written examination

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Education has announced a four-week closure of all public and private schools and higher education institutions across the Emirates, effective from Sunday 8 March 2020.

Forming part of the Emirates’ preventive and precautionary measures aimed at maintaining the safety of students, these closures are in line with the efforts made to contain the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

This announcement has affected some testing venues in UAE. Pearson VUE has notified Australian Dental Council (ADC) candidates sitting the March 2020 written examination by email if their venue has been affected by this closure.

The ADC and Pearson VUE are reviewing the situation, including the likelihood of further closures and any options for alternative testing venues for affected candidates, and will provide an update for candidates in the coming days.
